YOUR ITINERARY
Emily and Matt have secured group package rates with Sunwing, flying out of Toronto Pearson on Tues Mar 28th and returning Tues Apr 4th as per the following schedule:
- Depart Toronto (YYZ) Tue, 28 Mar 2023 10:15AM
- Arrive Cancun (CUN) Tue, 28 Mar 2023 1:30PM
- Depart Cancun (CUN) Tue, 04 Apr 2023 2:40PM
- Arrive Toronto (YYZ) Tue, 04 Apr 2023 7:35PM
The group will fly together out of Toronto and into Cancun, where you will be greeted by a private transfer for the group. After a 15 minute drive, you will check in to the beautiful Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa. Although you may not be able to access your room right away, the staff will be happy to secure your luggage and let you enjoy your first day on the resort!
Emily and Matt will be providing further details on any functions prior to their wedding day on March 31, 2023 but here's a sneak peek at the gorgeous venue!
You will be provided with a pick up time at your resort on April 4th to return back to the Cancun airport to catch your flight home.
EXCURSIONS / DAY TRIPS
There is so much to do at the Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa, you may not want to leave - however, if you are interested, we will be providing all guests some options for excursions and outings throughout the week.
COSTS / PRICING
Sunwing packages are noted below and are per-person. These packages include:Return flight Toronto - Cancun (direct) in Economy class as per the above schedule.
Packages are for flights out of Toronto Pearson only. If you are travelling from a different city, we can assist you with arranging a flight the day before and staying at a Toronto airport hotel overnight on Mar 27, 2023. You will then join the group on Mar 28, 2023 out of Toronto. We can also arrange your return connection out of Toronto to your home city on April 4, 2023. These connector flights will be available to book after Sept 1, 2022 - please reach out to our office at that time.
All-inclusive accommodations at Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa:
- Deluxe Junior Suite Tropical View King All inclusive: $2,308.42 per adult / $1,210.42 per child (2 - 12)
- Deluxe Junior Suite Tropical View 2 Double Beds All Inclusive: $2,308.42 per adult / $1,210.42 per child (2 - 12)
Your package includes a private group transfer from Cancun airport to resort on Mar 28, 2023 and return on Apr 4, 2023 and 1 piece of checked luggage per person.
Travel Packages For Less Than 7 Days
Options to travel for a shorter period (3-4 nights) will be available within the next few months. If you would like to book a package for less than 7 nights please indicate this on the booking form and our office will reach out to you with options. Although schedules and pricing are not available a typical 3-4 night package from Toronto this resort will be around $1,500 - $1,700 per person.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION – COVID-19 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travellers departing from Canadian airports, rail, and passengers vessels in voyages of 24 hours or more need to be fully vaccinated in order to board. This requirement applies to international and domestic departures.
Fully vaccinated travellers must have received a full course of vaccination with an accepted vaccine. The accepted 2 dose vaccines are Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria, COVISHIELD), Sinopharm, Sinovac (CoronaVac, PiCoVacc), or Covaxin, and the accepted 1 dose vaccine is Janssen/Johnson & Johnson. Travellers that have received a combination of 2 accepted vaccines are considered fully vaccinated. Travellers must have received their last dose at least 14 days before departure.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR MEXICO
- Mandatory health declaration form will be required completed prior to arrival
- No testing requirements at this time
- No visa required
RETURN TO CANADA
Travellers returning to Canada MUST be fully vaccinated and follow the entry requirements:
- Upload proof of vaccination in ArriveCAN
- Complete your ArriveCAN submission within 72 hours of return to Canada
- Monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 for the 14 days after entry into Canada
RECOMMENDED TRIP CANCELLATION, INTERRUPTION AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL INSURANCE
Please note that trip cancellation insurance is meant to cover unknown / unanticipated events. Since COVID is a known event, standard trip cancellation will not normally cover cancellations due to COVID.
For this reason, we recommend an insurance plan with cancel for any reason which would allow you to cancel and get up to 80% of our non-refundable amounts covered.
We recommend the Manulife Premium Protection Plan – including cancel for any reason coverage up to 80%.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL ONLY
If you are looking for travel insurance that just covers emergency medical coverage in destination (including COVID and COVID quarantine expenses) you may want to purchase a Manulife Emergency Medical policy. This policy provides up to $5M in emergency medical, up to $350/day to a maximum of $3,500 per person for quarantine and one-way economy airfare to return home if required.
DEPOSITS AND CANCELLATION TERMS
Sunwing requires a deposit of $150 per person at time of booking. Final payment will be Jan 15, 2023
Cancellation penalties will apply as follows:
- Cancel > 45 days prior to departure, loss of deposit only ($150 per person)
- Cancel 44-22 days prior to departure, 50% penalty of total price per person
- Cancel 21 days or less prior to departure, 100% penalty cost per person
- Name change 44-21 days prior to departure, $50 per change
- Name change 20-8 days prior to departure, $250 per change
