HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
World Performers Canada currently has rooms on hold with the Melia Braga and Vila Gale hotel. Rooms will be assigned at Melia Braga first and once sold out we will be assigning rooms at Vila Gale. Both are excellent quality hotels with an included shuttle bus to the competition venue.
For all hotels:
- Check in date: June 29, 2023 (note flights will depart Toronto on June 28th)
- Check out date: July 9, 2023
Packages are priced PER PERSON and rooms are double or triple occupancy (2 or 3 people per room). There are a few family rooms that allow up to 4 people per room, but they are very limited. We cannot guarantee room location and rooms will be assigned at check-in.

IMPORTANT FLIGHT INFORMATION
PLEASE NOTE: Your package does not include flights; however, WPC expects all dancers and a parent/chaperone (for those under 18 years of age) to travel as a team to the event. My Way Holiday will provide flight options for families in Spring 2023.
Once group flight information options are available, we will notify families of costs and times of departure.
Flights booked with My Way Holiday will include airport transfers to and from your hotel.
Flights will be booked departing Toronto on June 28, 2023 and returning July 9, 2023. For families travelling from out of province, we can assist with flights to Toronto prior to your final rehearsal.
OPTIONAL POST COMPETITION EXTENSION
As part of the travel services we are providing to World Performers Canada, My Way Holiday can assist you and your family with a post-competition extension to your trip. This can involve an extension of your return flight or it can involve excursions, hotels, cruises, etc. As part of our WPC 2023 program, we will be offering group tour packages to various destinations in Europe as well as European cruise departures post competition. More information to follow.

- Initial Deposit: $600 due upon registration
- 2nd Payment: $900 due Feb 1, 2023
- Final Payment: balance owing due April 1, 2023
CANCELLATION POLICY
All payments made are non-refundable. We strongly encourage the purchase of trip cancellation insurance to protect your trip due to unforeseeable events and circumstances.
NOTE:
If by May 15th, 2023 the cancellation of the travel portion for the Dance World Cup finals occurs for the following reasons:
- Force Majeure (Natural disasters)
- Border Closure
- Pandemic (COVID 19)
- Cancellation of the Event
**The total amount paid will be refunded less 25% per person for travel / management fees per person.**

Please note that entry to another country may be refused even if the required information and travel documents are complete. A valid passport is required with an expiration date at least 6 months greater than the intended return date. Living standards and practices at the destination and standards and conditions there with respect to the provision of utilities, services and accommodation may differ from those found in Canada.
Passengers must be at the airport a minimum of 3 hours prior to departure for all flights. It is the passenger's responsibility to reconfirm flight times within 24 hours of departure and return. Food, water and beverages: The quality of food, water and beverages served abroad may differ from North American standards and therefore may lead to discomfort or health issues. As such, My Way Holiday cannot be held responsible for any health problems or illness resulting therefrom and the Customer is advised to take all necessary precautions.
Room allocation Hoteliers are solely responsible for room allocation in accordance with the category reserved by the Customer. My Way Holiday has no responsibility with respect to the location of the room, decor, furnishings or type of bed therein, which may vary according to its location on the hotel premises. Should a Customer choose to alter the room category upon arrival at destination, such change may be made subject to availability and payment of additional fees. Where “accommodation or equivalent category” appears, the accommodation listed is not guaranteed and the supplier will have sole discretion in choosing an alternative of the equivalent category. Customers will be informed of the accommodations reserved on their travel documents prior to the date of departure. My Way Holiday cannot be held liable for the supplier’s selection
Recommended consent letter for children travelling abroad
We strongly recommend that Canadian children carry a consent letter if they are travelling abroad alone, with only one parent/guardian, with friends or relatives or with a group. For the purposes of this consent letter, a Canadian child is defined as anyone who is under the age of majority (18 or 19, depending on the province or territory of residence).
A consent letter is not a legal requirement in Canada, but it can simplify travel for Canadian children, as it may be requested by immigration authorities when entering or leaving a foreign country or by Canadian officials when re-entering Canada.

To enter Portugal, Canadian travellers may be required to show proof of vaccination and the results of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of travel. We will advise of any changes to these requirements as we approach the departure date.
To return to Canada, you may be required to obtain a negative PCR test within 72 hours of your departure and upload the results of your test and vaccination status to the ArriveCAN app. We will advise of any changes to these requirements as we approach the departure date.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR PORTUGAL
As of July 1, 2022 there are no entry vaccination or testing requirements to enter Portugal.
Portugal is a Schengen area country. Canadian citizens do not need a visa for travel to countries within the Schengen area. However, visa-free travel only applies to stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Stays are cumulative and include visits to any Schengen area country.
If you plan to stay in the Schengen area for a longer period of time, you will need a visa. You must contact the high commission or embassy of the country or countries you are travelling to and obtain the appropriate visa(s) prior to travel.
Before you travel, check with your transportation company about passport requirements. Its rules on passport validity may be more stringent than the country’s entry rules.
Regular Canadian passport
Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the date you expect to leave the Schengen area.
Passport with “X” gender identifier
While the Government of Canada issues passports with an “X” gender identifier, it cannot guarantee your entry or transit through other countries. You might face entry restrictions in countries that do not recognize the “X” gender identifier. Before you leave, check with the closest foreign representative for your destination.
Other travel documents
Different entry rules may apply when travelling with a temporary passport or an emergency travel document. Before you leave, check with the closest foreign representative for your destination.
If you are 18 and over and travelling with a Canadian e-passport, you may use the automated e-passport gates for entry into Portugal.
Visas
Tourist visa: Not required for stays up to 90 days (see Schengen area for details)
Business visa: Not required for stays up 90 days (see Schengen area for details)
Other requirements
Customs officials may ask you to show them proof of a return ticket.
Children and travel
Minors, under the age of 18, who are travelling alone or with adults other than their parents or legal guardian must carry an authorization letter from the parent or parents not travelling. The letter must indicate who will be taking care of the minor during their stay in Portugal, and specific dates of travel.

RETURN TO CANADA
As of Oct 1, 2022 COVID-19 emergency border measures have ended for Canada
For all travellers entering Canada by air, land or marine mode on or after October 1, 2022:
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is not required
- COVID-19 pre-entry and arrival tests are not required
- Quarantine after you enter Canada is not required
- Using ArriveCAN is not required
- if you’re flying into Toronto Pearson, Vancouver or Montréal-Trudeau international airports, you can still use ArriveCAN to complete your Advance CBSA Declaration to save time upon arrival
- Pre-boarding tests for cruise passengers are not required
- As always, travel documents are required
- Health checks to board planes and trains are not required
- Wearing masks on planes and trains is not required
- It's still strongly recommended that you wear a high quality and well-fitted mask or respirator while you travel
If you have symptoms of COVID-19, you shouldn't travel to Canada.
If you feel sick or experience any symptoms of COVID-19 during your travel to Canada or upon arrival, you should:
- inform the flight attendant, cruise staff or a border services officer upon arrival. You may be referred to a Quarantine Officer for a health assessment and further direction.
- avoid taking public transportation
- check provincial or territorial requirements for what you need to do if you’re symptomatic or have tested positive for COVID-19
Wearing masks on planes and trains in Canada is not required.

RECOMMENDED TRIP CANCELLATION, INTERRUPTION AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL INSURANCE
Manulife Premium Protection Plan – including cancel for any reason coverage up to 80%.
Please note that trip cancellation insurance is meant to cover unknown / unanticipated events. Since COVID is a known event, standard trip cancellation will not normally cover cancellations due to COVID.
For this reason, we recommend an insurance plan with cancel for any reason which would allow you to cancel and get up to 80% of your non-refundable amounts covered. It also includes up to $10,000,000 in Emergency Medical coverage with unlimited trip interruption.
This policy must be purchased within 72 hours of your deposit to qualify for this insurance.
Coverage includes Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption, Travel Disruption, Emergency Medical (NON-COVID), Baggage Loss, Damage and Delay and Travel Accident.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL ONLY
If you are looking for travel insurance that just covers emergency medical coverage in destination (including COVID and COVID quarantine expenses) you may want to purchase a Manulife Emergency Medical policy. This policy provides up to $5M in emergency medical, up to $350/day to a maximum of $3,500 per person for quarantine and one-way economy airfare to return home if required.
